The Graduate

I really enjoyed this film, especially enjoyed watching a young Dustin Hoffman utilize his acting expertise. Aside from the filmmaking techniques, i was immensely engrossed in the narrative, waiting to see what happens next.

The characters were supremely developed, as we see Hoffman go through a wealth of emotions in regards to his lover and her daughter. At the end of the film, we are filled with optimism about this new relationship between Hoffman and the daughter. However, this optimism is laced with skepticism, as the director effectively achieved this with the look of hesitance and from the actors at the end of the film when they hop on the bus. Apparently he achieved this because the actors were waiting for a cut from the director, and as a result they both looked hesitant, and more specifically unsure of the relationship lying ahead.
